Welcome to the inner sanctum of “Boomer Breakfast Cereals,” the chapter of my life explaining how cereal boxes, premiums and toys affected my collecting sensibilities.
There’s a remarkable story to be told and enjoyed by young and older alike when tracing the rise and influence cereal would have on the growth of the print media after the Civil War and later the birth of both radio and television advertising.
The goal is to create the most complete history of industry and a scrapbook of memories, thoughts and discoveries by us all documenting cereal history.
I’ve created a unique trip down memory lane for boomers wanting to relive their childhood through the rare one of a kind television commercials and memorabilia I’ve uncovered over the last thirty five years. I’ll try to spoon feed you some of the remarkable history surrounding the "cerealizing" of us boomers and our parents in America during the '50s.
